Engine Work
We can undertake complete engine rebuilds, crank rebuilds, aluminium welding & repairs, helicoiling, Spark Plug Helicoiling etc for many types of engine 2 or 4 stroke. Below are a few examples showing the various types of engines from the common to the more unusual engines we have worked on.
Aluminium Crankcase Welding & Repair work
The above shows some crankcase repair work we carried out. The cases had been damaged by the clutch assembly and primary gear coming loose and eating through the left hand case in a couple of places, whilst the right hand casing had seen a snapped chain, which had broken a piece of casing off completely. We remanufactured the broken piece, including the mounting spigot and welded it back together. The picture shows the completed job before being sent for blasting, which left the repair almost invisible externally.
